Berhampur : Reportedly, a girl student Manasi Dash of Berhampur University,Orissa has lodged complains at Vice Chancellors office alleging her department professor of misbehaving her.

Manasi has gone to the VC Bijay Sahu's chamber to submit his written complain letter alleging harassment and misbehavior by Professor Ashok Panigrahi of the Botany department.

Manasi, a resident of Rayagada had appeared in the exam but failed to qualify in the practical paper following which she had requested the committee to consider her case.

As per sources, Prof Panigrahi had called Manasi to his room and asked her to do some objectionable things to which Manasi had then declined.

Sources added that she alleged misbehavior by the professor but it was not clear weather any kind of sexual harassment had been alleged by the girl.

She, at presence of some other teachers of the varsity had submitted the complain letter, but the teachers were not divulging any details due to some unknown reasons.

The officials including the Vice Chancellor Bijay Sahu could not be contacted and statements could not be obtained from the concerned authorities.

The staffs were avoiding the media to divulge anything about the matter but it was true that something fishy had happened in the campus keeping in view the prevailing situation.
