While the whole nation is celebrating the grand success of Avinav Bindra in the ongoing Beijing Olympics, the world Champion Sand artist Sudarsan Patnaik created a Sand Sculpture image of a 10 ft long rifle in the premises of Tata Housing Project, Aquila Heights in Bangalore on Monday to congratulate shooter Bindra who made history by winning the country's first individual Olympic gold medal in Beijing today.
The Sand artist said that this is the proud moment for every Indian and on this occasion I would like to present him the gift of the sand sculpture image.
Patnaik has used 5 tonnes of Sand, which took him 2 hours for making the 10 ft long rifle with the gold medal replica along with the congratulatory message on it.
Few days earlier, Patnaik had created an Olympic stadium out of Sand in Orissa to wish Indian Team for Beijing Olympic.
It may be noted here that Patnaik recently won world championship title as a first Indian in Berlin, Germany.
He has already participated in more than 37 international sand sculpture festivals around the world and he won many prizes
