Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Sunday laid foundation stone for a degree Engineering college with an estimated cost of Rs 6 cr covering around 15 acres of land at Sitalapalli near Berhampur.
During his whirlwind one day visit to his own turf, Ganjam district, Naveen also laid the foundation stone for the proposed bridge on the Ghodahad river site near kurla village in Shergada block that was coming under his constituency after the proposal of delimitation committee.
The project, estimated to cost around 13crore and 28 lakhs will connect between Kurla and Bugudapalli villages benefiting lakhs of people living in the nearby areas.
CM also inaugurated a class room at Kurla village, additional class room at Thirubari village and Gothagaon and laid the foundation stone for the office building of Thirubari Gram Panchayat.
From Sheragada block, CM proceeded to Hinjili, his own constituency, where he garlanded the statue of his legendary father Late Biju Patnaik.
Naveen inaugurated a new building of the sub treasury office, a skill development centre for the apparel industry, unveiled the statue of Kishore Chandra Panda at the Brundaban Vidyapitha where he also inaugurated an additional class room costing around 10 lakhs in Hinjili.
He also inaugurated the bridge on the river Rushikulya near Allapur village. The project estimated at 9 crore and 45 lakhs that would facilitate the communication between Hinjili, kabisuryanagar and Chatrapur.
Despite continuous rain he visited Purushottampur block after Hinjili, where Naveen inaugurated an additional class room at Pandia village besides inaugurating an AWC centre at Raulapalli under the Purushottampur block.
A market complex at Raulapalli, a room at Govt. Girls high school and another room at ex-board high school at Purushottampur were also inaugurated by Chief Minister.
CM has also inaugurated an area hospital building at Purushottampur at a cost of more than 10 lakhs.
At the last phase of his Ganjam tour, he had laid the foundation stone for the proposed building for the sub-treasury office at Purushottampur.
