Bhubaneswar ( Orissa) : The Vanavasi Kalyan Ashram, a Sangh Parivar outfit, sought protection for the Hindu population who are minority in villages under Brahmanigaon police station limit in communal violence hit Kandhamal.
Addressing a press conference here Dr. Laxmikanta Dash , General Secretary, Vanavasi Kalyan Ashram said "We demand strong action against the culprits and adequate security to Hindus in Brahmanigaon area".
Describing Naveen Patnaik as the "Chief Minister of minority Christians", Das alleged that police did not take action against those miscreants belonging to the community.
He alleged that police has not been arrested the persons who were involved in the attack on Swami Lakshmananda Saraswati on 24th December 2007 even after having specific information and proofs.
"Police inaction against them had encouraged the miscreants belonging to one community to target the Hindus," Das said.

On 28th December 2007 arms and ammunitions were seized from a village near Brahmanigaon and the culprits behind the incident were set free and the Superintendent of Police was transferred for whose interest, he questioned.
Dr. Dash further alleged that no action has been taken on NGOs like World Vision, Ama Gaon, SFDC etc. active around Brahmanigaon and are behind the attack on the police stations.
Many attackers were trained and supplied with arms and ammunitions by the Missionaries of Katingia, Alanzora and Tajungia Churches for attack on police stations which was in the knowledge of the local police. But what are the reasons behind the inaction of the police in this matter? he further questioned.
