Cuttack : Orissa bundled out for 216 rauns in Day one against UP in Ranji Elite match in Cuttack today.
Making a sensatinal debut, 20-year-old right-arm medium-pacer, Sudeep Tyagi scalped six important wickets including former India opener Shiv Sundar Das.
| None of the Orissa batsmen were comfortable against tyagi, who struck thrice in his third and fourth overs to put Orissa in Backfoot. Even Orissa were at once three down when the score was only 8 on the board. For Orissa P. Jayachandra facing hostile attack of UP made sparkling 55 runs facing 65 balls, while Shiv Sundar Das, former India opener bated patiently for his 75 runs. In reply UP made a shaky start too and losted three inportant wickets only for 35 runs but Shivakant Shukla and Suresh Raina recoverd UP with a unbeaten 49 runs partnership for the fourth wicket. |
Raina scored a quick unbeaten 27 off 32 balls. UP were 83 for three at the end of the day's play today.
