Under-22 CK Nayudu cricket: Orissa in Commanding position

Rourkela : Orissa has taken a firm grip in the Col CK Nayudu, Under-22 Cricket Championship against Assam at the Ispat Stadium at Rourkela.

In reply to Assam's modest total of 227 Orissa get past the Assam's score and made 216 for 2 at the draw of the stump in day 2.

However, during the second quarter of previous fiscal, the figures were up at Rs 595 crore and Rs 1,582.65 crore, respectively.

Opener Nataraj Behera, slamed 97 before getting out to G Sharma, while other opener made 34 and was scalped by P Saikia.

R Sinha and R Mohanty were playing with 73 and 5 runs respectively when the match stopped at 4.30 p.m.

Earlier Left arm medium fast bowler P Das slaped 3 wickets for Orissa in Assam's first innings.
