Budhia to walk from Bhubaneswar to Kolkata
Bhubaneswar : Budhia Singh, The dream runner of Orissa, who shot to fame for his ability to run long distances, is now all set to walk 500 km, from Bhubaneswar to Kolkata, the west Bengal capital.
Budhia will take 11 days to cover this distance starting June 6.
To avoid the summer heat, he (Budhia) will walk only during mornings and evenings. An ambulance, a team of doctors, a water tanker and a mobile toilet would follow him, said his coach Biranchi Das.
According to him (Biranchi Das) this even to cost him around Rs.1.2 million and he is still in search of sponsers.
The boy came to limelight when he run 65-km non-stop from Puri to Bhubaneswar in 2005. His name is also figured in The Limca Book of Records on May 2, 2006.
