Orissa cabinet passes additional Budget

Bhubaneswar ( Orissa) : The first Additional Budget , which will be placed in the Orissa Assembly on 18th November, the first day of the Winter session of the Assembly has been passed by the Council of Ministers held on Monday under the Chairmanship of the Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.

Speaking to the media persons after the meeting of the Council of Ministers, the finance Minister Prafulla Chandra Ghadei said 16 crore 75 lakh for the modernisation of the Police , 6 crore 54 lakh for appointment of special police officers, 6 crore 60 lakh for dress materials.

Similarly 14 crore has been allotted for purchase of new vehicles and salary of the work charges, 13.10 crore for stipend of Alopathy, Homoeopathy, and Ayurbedic P.G Students.

While 32.75 crore has been allotted for stipend of ST ./SC students, 2.95 crore for construction of Sebashram, 3 crore for construction of Ladies Hostel.

20 crore for maintenance of River embankments are the main arrangements in this additional budget.
