Berhampur ( Orissa ) : One person had been killed and another 12 people had sustained injuries in bomb attack owing to group class at Bairipada village under Golanthra police station limits in Ganjam.
According to sources, the people of nearby Nimapada village had gone to attend the Shradha of one relative to the Bairipada village. When the Shradha was going on at around 11 pm on Saturday night, people of another group had hurled bombs continuously. As many as 11 bombs had been hurled targeting the opposite group.
In the bomb attack, one man named P Nilambar had succumbed to the bomb injury at the spot while another 12 people had sustained injuries out of them one man had been stated to be critical.
The group attack took place due to the animosity between two groups owing allegiance to two different political parties, source added.
