Central team visits flood affected areas of Ganjam after 6 months

Berhampur (Orissa) : A central team led by BN Sukla and SR Goel have visited the flood affected areas of Ganjam district on Friday.

Notably, some blocks of the Ganjam district had been affected by flood in the Badanadi during the third week of July this year.

Around two lakh people in the blocks like Bhanajanagar, Belaguntha and Jagannathprasad had been affected and properties worth crores had been lost.

Nine live reportedly been lost, 198 houses had been washed away completely, 872 houses had been completely damaged, more than 45 villages had been affected badly and 1384.8 hectres of cultivable land had been affected in the flood.
