Berhampur ( Orissa ) :Berhampur police have arrested the driver of Sanakhemundi MLA Ramesh Chandra Jena in connection with a murder case and have forwarded him with charges of aiding the main accused in the killing of Rabi Narayan Behera alias Chicken Rabi.
According to police, Suresh Mohapatra alias Suri had aided the main accused involved in the murder of Chicken Rabi. Suri had allegedly had taken the main accused persons from Aska to Raipur. And Suri had been identified as the driver of Sanakhemundi MLA Ramesh Chandra Jena, informed Berhampur police.
Notably, Chicken Rabi had been shot dead at Dhipa Sahi near Lanjipalli under Biadyanathpur police station in the city on January 01.
Chicken Rabi was a notorious criminal and after the release from jail, he was allegedly involved in the tender fixing and was taking a large number of contracting works. He was being supported by the ruling party people and even enjoying the patronage of a minister. Rabi was having rivalry with the other gang operating in the town.
