Berhampur ( Orissa) : Opposion Congress has warned to stall the up coming session of the assembly over the Congress MLA Ramesh Jena’s arrest in connection with chicken Rabi murder case.
A team of MLAs belonged to opposition party led by Santosh Singh Saluja has paid a visit to the Berhampur circle jail where lone Congress MLA Ramesh Jena from Ganjam district is languishing in jail.
Saluja along with seven other MLAs and one former MLA of the Congress had visited the jail and meet Jena.
Notably Ramesh Jena, MLA of Sanakhemundi had been arrested from Vishakhapatnam after the statement of main accused in the murder of Chicken Rabi who was shot dead on January 01.
Saluja stated that they would stall the next assembly session as innocent MLA of their party was implicated in a murder case as his name was not figured in the FIR lodged after the murder.
Moreover, Saluja has condemned the inaction of local leaders and office bearers who have not paid a visit to the jail and were distancing from the issue when the lone Congress MLA of Ganjam district has been arrested.
Notably, Jena, his family members and party leaders have also alleged that ruling part leaders had conspired to implicate Jena.
