Tension prevailed again in Berhampur Khallikote College

Berhampur ( Orissa) : Tension had again prevailed on Tuesday following the hunger strike by the students that resumed on Monday protesting police entry into the Khallikote Autonomus college located in the city.

When two of the students’ condition deteriorated following hunger strike, no ambulance was available. Angered over the inaction and negligence, the students had burnt the tires and blocked the NH in front of the college. Even, there was some kind of ransacking inside principal’s office.

Berhampur Sub-Collector had reached at the college and after discussion had assured the students that the police would not enter into the college unless any such law and order situation arose.

However the hunger strike called off when the administration assured agitating students appropriate action would be taken against Kodala police who had detained the students’ union president.

Meanwhile the tension continuous to prevail at the college on Tuesday, even the principal expressed his anguish to go on leave keeping in view the worsening situation due to politics.
