Malkangiri (Orissa) : Tension on Thursday night prevailed on Cuttack-Puri road near Old Station Bazar Square after a truck crossed over a biker killing one of them.
Mother and daughter were coming in a Scotty bike while the speeding Truck crossed over while the woman died on the spot.
Commuters present at the site, started attacking the driver and damaged the vehicle till locals Laxmi Sagar and Badagada Police reached the spot.
Police have registered an accident case and probing the incident.
Sources said that Cuttack-Puri always remains busy with thousands of vehicle moved on this road while traffic system was not proper.
Basing on the statement of daughter of the victim, who was present on the spot, police have registered a case and seized the vehicle, a police officials said.
Traffic was affected some hours with agitating commuters blocked the road.
