Nandankanan’s Ipsita gives birth to four cubs

Bhubaneswar (Orissa) : Ipsita, a Royal Bengal tigress of Nandankanan Zoo, who was shifted to Lucknow Zoo in 2007, has given birth to four tiger cubs.

Both the tigress and the cubs are doing fine and are being given necessary care, Nandankanan Zoo officials said quoting their counterparts in Lucknow. They added that one of the cubs is white in colour while rest three are brown.

They said Ipshita owes her lineage to white tiger Jawahar and Rinki, a royal Bengal tigress and that is the reason for one of her cubs being white in colour.
