Sandy support to ‘My Name is Khan’ at Puri beach

Puri (Orissa) : Internationally acclaimed sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik on Thursday created a sand sculpture about the protest against the movie “My Name Is Khan” and players on Puri beach at Orissa.

Sudarsan Pattnaik through his art appeal to the people not to target the Art, Artist, Sports and Players as they are the epitomes of National Integration and good relationship between the countries.

The sheer defence in the name of politics causes severe damage to the nation’s property as well as to the image of our country. For example now the movie “My Name Is Khan” facing protests in Mumbai. So I condemn this protest, pattnaik said.

He used 12 tonnes of sand and took 7 hours to create a sand sculpture of 30 ft long film reel rounded the Bollywood city Mumbai and cricket bat with a message “Don’t Blame Player and Artist”.

The Students of his sand art school join hand with him to create this sculpture.

Sudarsan Pattnaik has so far participated in more than 39 international sand sculpture championships across the world and won many awards for the country.

Through his art he helped the tsunami victims in India, save the endangered Olive Ridley Turtles and spread awareness of the dangers of HIV-AIDS and polio.
