People were queuing up for casting their votes in BMC poll in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday.

Bhubaneswar (Orissa) : Rulling Biju Janta Dal (BJD) headed by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik own the most awaited Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) election by 2/3 majority.

They won 40 seats out of 60 seats while the alliance party BJP gets 9 seats. Indian National congress that claimed to be the main opposition managed to win in 4 seats while the independent candidates have won in 6 seats leaving one seat to Samrudha Odisha.

As soon as the results were declared the workers of the BJD celebrated victory of the party by taking procession to different areas. The newly corporators look very happy as their party has owned 2/3 majority without the help Of BJP.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has convayed his hearty grateful to the voters of the BMC for giving clear majority.
