JEE counseling to start from July 11, no e-counseling this year

Bhubaneswar (Orissa): The JEE counseling for the admission to different engineering, medical and technical institutes would commence from July 11. However, there would be no e-counseling this year.

According to the sources as many as 1.4 lakh students would participate in the JEE, counselling which would continue for nearly two months.

The counseling would be held on the premises of Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT).

However, the counseling for the MBA courses would be held in Gandamunda Campus of the Biju Patnaik Technical University.

Sources said the ranking card would be sent to all the aspiring students from June 30.

As many as 127 seats would be available for VSS Medical College, Burla. Besides, 17 seats would be available in the Dental Wing of the SCB Medical College.

In the private sector, 100 seats in medical and 100 seats in dental wings would be available in High-Tech Medical.

Similarly KIMS also offers 100 seats in medial and 100 seats in dental branch. Medical Wing of the ITER also offers 100 seats each in medical and dental branch.

17,000 seats are available in the engineering streams in private colleges. Around 38,996 students would be called to attend the counseling for engineering stream.

Similarly, 10,957 students in the MBA stream, 424 in MCA, 191 in architecture, 2500 in B-Pharm, 142 in Hotel Management and 7,000 students would be called to attend counseling for the engineering colleges through the lateral entry.
