 Orissa neglects Limca Book of  Records holder Keshab Swain

Bhubaneswar (Orissa) Call it outlandish or taking things easy, Orissa Government has betrayed one of the rarest talents of the State, who could broke hundreds of Green coconut by his elbow in minutes.

In various occasions he has probed this and entered his name in Limca Book of Records but the mandarins of Orissa Government yet to extend a help of hand for him or recognize his talents.

The record holder Keshab Swain, hails from Baharpur village of southern district of Ganjam,Keshab, who plans to host a show in September in State Capital, in which, he will try to set records to figure his name in Guinness Book of world Records in green coconut breaking.

For several times he urged the Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to intervene into the issue and urge for arrange a show in the the capital city.

Keshab had first set a record in January 27, 2007 by breaking 135 coconuts in 7.26 minutes by his elbow followed by he cracked 170 coconuts in 6.22 minutes in May 8, 2008.

He had also broke 72 coconuts while riding bike in 1 minute in October 2007 and on April 6, 2008, he had broke 100 coconuts in 5 minutes. His name has been figured two times in Limca Book of Records in Green coconut breaking.

Keshab alias Tophan urged various Corporate houses to sponsor his September event and provide financial support.

The Limca book of Record holder, who earns his livelihood by selling papads and training youngsters in martial arts, says the biggest regret for him is that he is yet to receive any help from State Government.

The Chief Minister should provide financial assistance for me, he added. State Energy Minister Surya Narayan Patro, who hails from Ganjam, after witnessing Keshab's miracle power, had assured to help but nothing has happened till now.

"For my September event, I have submitted a memorandum to Chief Minister Patnaik seeking his help," he added.
