Child Council secretary gets threat call

Bhubaneswar ( Orissa ) : Kharvel Nagar Police on Thursday arrested an unidentified youth for threatening to kill Sanjukta Mohanty, secretary of State Council for Child Welfare.

The youth reportedly entered into the premises of Mohanty's residence at 2RA/108 in Unit-9 area late night on Wednesday and threatened to kill her before using slang languages.

  Few minutes after, Mohanty, who is women wing leader of the ruling BJD, informed the police. Police arrested one persons in connection with the case after investigation.  

"I have no enmity with any body; I want to know the real conspirators, who sent the paid goon to kill me," she said.

Mohanty, who has been working as Council secretary since 2005, also requested the police to reach out to the real conspirators.
