Heat wave grips Orissa

Bhubaneswar ( Orissa ) : Normal life in several Orissa districts on Wednesday badly hit with temperature reaching at more than 40 degree Celsius.

Officials said Talcher and Malkangiri recorded highest temperature of 40 degrees Celsius.

Maximum temperature was also high in several other places like Titilagarh (39 degrees), Bhabanipatna (38.7), Bolangir (38.2), Sambalpur (37.5) and Jharsuguda (37.4), an official of the Bhubaneswar meteorological centre said.

"Minimum temperatures changed little. They were markedly above normal over the north coastal belt," the official said.
