Koraput (Orissa): Maoists in Orissa have looted huge cache of arms and ammunition from the CISF armoury in Nalco run mines in Damonjodi , in Koraput district on Sunday night, sources said.

Though the administration is tight lipped on the quantity of arms looted, unconfirmed sources said that the looted arms and ammunitions worth crores of rupees which include 200 guns, 4000 bullets.

Hundreds of armed Maoists attacked the CISF base at the top of Panchpatmali hills around 8-30 pm under the cover of darkness to loot arms.

Meanwhile CRPF personnel and Border Security Force who were stationed at the district headquarters town of Koraput for election duty had reached near the hills that were situated close to Damanjodi town.
