BJD abolishes secy general post, creates Vice president job in party

Bhubaneswar (Orissa) : The BJD on Saturday abolished the post of its secretary general. However, the party rehabilitated the incumbent secretary general Damodar Rout by appointing him as one of its vice-presidents.

The other vice-presidents are AU Singh Deo, Prafulla Ghadai, Prsanna Acharya and Prasanna Patsani. Jogendra Behera was appointed as the treasurer.

The new general secretaries are Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak, Badri Narayan Patra, Pravat Tripathy, Debasis Samantray, Nagendra Pradhan, Saraswati Hembram, Jagneswar, Narendra Kumar Swain and Baisnab Parida. The secretaries are Jhina Hikaka, Benedict Tirkey, Madhusduan Sahu, Jyotishkar Mohapatra, T Gopi, Madana Mohan Pradhan, Ashish Chakraborty, Mujibullah (Muna) Khan, Ramamurthy Gomango and Gourishankar Praharaj.
