Berhampur ( Orissa ): Bharatiya Janata Party state president has came down heavily on Naveen Patnaik led government and ask him to order a CBI inquiry or resign in the wake of alleged three lakh crore mining scam.
While attending speaking at the party meeting at the town hall, Jual came down heavily on Naveen and BJD party over various issues like growing Maoist menace, mining scam and treachery issue following the break of the BJP-BJD alliance in the state prior to the election.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had dropped several of his ministers in connection with alleged corruption. Now he should step down instead of trying to defend himself in the face of mining scam," BJP state president Jual Oram said.
"The chief minister had dropped many ministers to show the public that his government was corruption free but he is not only sticking to his chair but also refusing to hand over the mining scam to the CBI for inquiry," he said adding that if Naveen was not responsible for the mining scam he should order for a CBI inquiry into the allegations or he should resign.
