Bhubaneswar ( Orissa ): After being unsuccessful to take charge of Orissa BJP in place of Suresh Pujari, which was finally given to Jual Oram, Dharmendra Pradhan, former Deogarh MP, is trying very hard to become national general secretary of the party.
Pradhan, who is presently working as national secretary of BJP and Pravari for Chhattisgarh, is lobbying for the general secretary post since Nitin Gadkari took the baton, sources added.
Pradhan is son of former Union Minister Dr Debendra Pradhan.
Sources in BJP said that seven General Secretary posts in the party are very important. So, Pradhan trying very hard to get one of the seven posts.
Born on June 26, 1969, Pradhan has become strong youth face in the entire Sangh Pariwar while he was elected to State Assembly and Lok Sabha from BJP ticket. In the last poll, he lost the Pallahara MLA seat to BJD’s Rabi Narayan Pany.
Earlier, he served as national president of BJP Yuva Morcha when LK Advani served as national president.
