Bhubaneswar (Orissa): The state government has suspended Golmunda Block BDO Gaura Chandra Parichha and Dasapur panchayat sarpanch Sridhara Sahu basing on the direction of the Chief Election Officer on Saturday.

As per the information sarpanch Sahu is contesting from Junagarh Assembly constituency as an Indipendent candidate. He has allegedly drawn 3.5 Lakhs from the NREGS funds and incurring expenditures for his election campaign works.

The block BDO has also allegedly assisted him in the matter. The chief election officer directed the state government to initiate action against them after receiving the report from the collector, Kalahandi.
