Bhubaneswar (Orissa) : Samruddha Odisha State president and former Andhra Pradesh cadre IAS officer Dr Jatish Chandra Mohanty has urged Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to rise above politics and join hands with him for all round development of Orissa.
Addressing a Press conference here, Dr Mohanty said that he had sent a letter in this regard to the Chief Minister and waiting the response from the BJD boss. “Let politics and join hands for development for Orissa,” Dr Mohanty told to Chief Minister in a letter.
Orissa has been ranked 17th position since 2003 to till date under the State of States of India Today Group while the State Government is claiming all round development, Dr Mohanty added.
Dr Mohanty said that 85% of State’s populations are not getting 2100 kilo calories of energy per day as per the reports of Union Rural Development Ministry.
Dr Mohanty has suggested seven points’ agenda to eradicate poverty from the State.
“I shall select four blocks in the State, one each in south, west, north and coastal in consultation with expert groups, we would eradicate poverty in five year time,” Dr Mohanty suggested to Chief Minister.
Dr Mohanty also urged the Chief Minister to restrict political intervention on administrative activities.
Dr Mohanty further alleged that the Naveen Patnaik led Government has sold out the mineral resources of State to private companies.
He further alleged that the Government is giving misinformation on development and other issues.
