We receive several mails each month, asking how writing, illustrations video content can be submitted to Odishatoday.com.

Following are few important guidelines for authors who wish to submit their work/material to us. Please look through this carefully.

Your interest in Odishatoday.com

We will not entertain those who simply submit their resumes, or send generic E-mail addressed to several editors at the same time.

Writers are requested to provide full details for correspondence: postal address, phone numbers (both landline and mobile) and email address and of-course the references, so that we can contact people who know your work.

We make a significant distinction between news reporting and opinion. We will consider reports, stories from freelance journalists and interested writers, but we restrict the column page to those who have gained expertise in the subjects/topics they wish to write about. They should also have the expertise to defend questions relating to their opinions by the readers.

Basic points

Before sending any work to us, please keep in mind that your contribution should be different from the existing range of content on the site.

If you wish to write regularly to us, then you must allow us the opportunity to judge your reliablility and quality of the contributions. Over a 2-month trial period, you will have to submit 2 to 3 contributions in every month. This allows us to evaluate your writing skill and ability to met deadline. This will also test how responsive you are to burning issues.

We expect our authors to respond to reasonable questions from readers seeking any information or clarification of their submission.

Payments:

Odishatoday.com agrees to pay who regularly writes for Us. Domain expertise, experience and skill of writers will be taken into consideration for pay

Whenever we invite any article from an author ourselves, We will pay based on the quality of the submission.

Odishatoday.com will not pay any compensation for occasional/one time submission. However after reviewing few the quality of the submission, we may offer occasional writer for regular contribution.

Copyrights and Republication:

All material that is published on Odishatoday.com becomes the intellectual property of it. However, in some cases, we will allow the authors to retain joint ownership of copyright along with us.

Permission to republish: Authors must refer all requests for republication of any work to Odishatoday.com, and must not grant any requests for republication without our prior consent.

Submitting your work:

Format: We request authors to send their work in word format for written material. Graphs and charts prepared in MS Office (Word/Excel) or equivalent software are preferable to material prepared in jpeg or other formats.

Your contact email address will be listed on all articles that we publish, unless there is a specific agreement not to do so. Our readers must, have a free opportunity to respond to your writing.

We get a lot of requests. But, we limit ourselves to a specific number of articles only. Please do not be discouraged if we decline to publish your work.
